Jacob Matthews is my all-time favorite character in the stories I’ve written. The brutal and tragic losses that happened in his life before The Medicine Box begins would destroy a weaker man.
Yet, through all that happened to Jacob, he remained an honorable man–trusted by the Indians and respected the army, generous and protective to those who live in his valley. The one thing he refused to do was love another woman since death took every woman he had loved.
Jacob had a long path to travel to find what he needed, but The Medicine Box is a romance, after all. I hope you enjoy Jacob’s journey from loneliness to love.
