ABOUT READING THE MACPHERSON BRIDES

I love to read series in books. When I started my MacPherson Bride stories, I planned to do group them in sets, like Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming, etc.  I published the first three books and numbered them 1-3. When I wrote the next set, I planned to call them Kansas MacPherson Brides and number them 1-4. That made made sense to me–each set would have the state name where it took place and the book order for that set. Then a writer friend suggested that I list them all under just MacPherson Brides, so a reader could know they were all one series. I did that.

After I published the second set, I discovered there was a problem doing that. Many readers thought all the books needed to be read in order. That’s not necessary. Each set needs to be read in order, but you can skip around from state to state. Each set has it own timeline.

You could read the Kansas MacPhersons before you read the ones from Colorado. In a couple of weeks, you will be able to read the Wyoming MacPherson Brides without having read the first seven books.

The one thing that seems to hold all the books together is Granny MacPherson’s advice and teaching to her grandchildren through the years.

The other thing about this series is that the first e-book in each set is free, so you can read about the MacPhersons in a state and see if you want to learn more about that part of the family.

I hope you will enjoy this family and the love they have for each other.
